In Terni, from April 24th to May 17th, 2025, the annual Cantamaggio Ternano will take place, a traditional festival celebrating the arrival of spring with roots dating back to the late 19th century. The event will open with the Concorso Canzoni Maggiaiole and will continue with the historical parade of allegorical floats in the city center on April 30th. On May 1st, Piazza Europa will transform into the Città del Maggio, hosting the exhibition of the floats until May 4th and an evening musical performance. The following days will be enlivened by a poetry competition in dialect and Italian, a musical tribute to Rino Gaetano, the parade of mini-floats created by schools, and a concert by the Symphonic Band. May 4th will be dedicated to children's entertainment and the musical "Vaiana", culminating in the award ceremony for themed shop windows. The celebrations will continue in May with a painting and photography exhibition dedicated to Terni and Cantamaggio and will conclude on May 17th with the lottery draw.
