Storie di Natale a Bastia Umbra 2025
In Bastia Umbra, from 8 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, Le Storie di Natale bring to the town centre scenic installations, characters and settings inspired by the creativity of the Palio de San Michele districts. Piazza Mazzini hosts the main installation with the Grand Tree, the Wonder Room and the large figures that animate the two theatrical actions “The Power of Love” and “Christmas, the Celebration of Time”.
The festive period includes activities for children and families, with workshops, games, readings and initiatives in the neighbourhoods, such as the Night of the Soft Toys, the Living Nativity in the Old Village and the Befana Festival with parades and animations. The programme also features cultural appointments with book presentations, multilingual storytelling and theatrical readings, together with events linked to local traditions.
Music accompanies the celebrations with concerts in churches and in the square, choral performances, traditional musicians and events organised by the local music schools. Additional community activities, meetings and initiatives take place across the neighbourhoods.
On 31 December, Piazza Mazzini hosts the New Year’s Eve celebration with live music and a DJ set, while on 6 January the town marks the arrival of the Befana with markets, parades and prize-giving linked to the festive competitions.
