Festival delle Nazioni 2023
The "Festival of Nations" is back, an event of chamber music, which will be held from 23 August to 7 September in Città di Castello and in the Upper Tiber Valley.
This 56th edition will be dedicated to Italy and the program will involve music ranging from the end of '800 to the Second World War.
In detail, there will be 19 major events, as well as various other collateral initiatives.
The inaugural event "Signorelli e Perugino, l'arte gentile e l'armonia splendida", scheduled for August 23 at the Church of San Domenico di Città di Castello, will be a tribute to the two painters by the Ensemble Micrologus
On August 24 will be the turn of the Alberto Burri National Competition for youth groups and the show "Inquietudini Ruggenti - Il primo colonialismo italiano".
To highlight how in the evening of August 29 will be staged the Atse Tewodros Project with "Maqeda", which will provide the presentation of their project, in Italian premiere, of traditional Ethiopian music, combined in jazz style.
Other important events will follow in the various locations of Umbertide, San Giustino, Montone and Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, which will culminate in the final evening of September 7, with the musical tale "Ciondolino", inspired by the homonymous work of Luigi Bertelli.
