In Assisi, from July 5 to October 5, 2025, Discovering Mount Subasio comes to life — a new hiking program within the “Assisi Summer 2025” calendar. The initiative offers 25 free excursions designed to provide immersive experiences in the natural landscape of Mount Subasio, through forest trails, ancient places of worship, and breathtaking views.

The schedule includes afternoon, evening, and night events, each featuring a sensory approach that blends hiking, yoga, music, astronomy, and tastings. Activities are led by expert operators and environmental and hiking guides from the GAIA APS Association, with support from several local organizations, including the Monte Subasio Amateur Astronomers Group, FAI – Bosco di San Francesco, and other community associations.

The program kicks off on July 5 and 6 with the third edition of Ascent to the Mountain: a journey through Subasio’s woods and ancient abbeys, accompanied by open-air concerts from Ensemble Micrologus, tastings of craft beer, and traditional dishes handmade by the nuns of the Monastery of San Benedetto. An experience combining slowness and contemplation, designed to offer an authentic connection with the landscape and its atmosphere.
