26th International Week of Dance
Now in its 26th edition, the International Week of Dance together with its International Contest are taking place from the 2nd to the 8th April.
The appointment, hosted in the inspiring Monumental Complex of St. Nicolò and in the Spoleto's Giancarlo Menotti New Theatre, is unmissable for young dancers and artists who, during the festival, will have the chance to "show off" as well as to improve and perform in front of a jury of famous national and international dancers chaired by Roberto Fascilla and Alberto Testa (Honorary President).
Divided into the sections classical dance, pas de deux, modern dance, contemporary dance and choreographic composition, the contest will select the best emerging talents.
This year the category Urban Dance is going to take place on the 6th and 7th April with award ceremony taking place during the gala evening on Saturday 8th. The section includes the categories Hip Hop New Style, Hip Hop Old School, House Dance, VideoDance, Experimental Hip Hop and an open category allowing participants the freedom to present works proposing a stylistical and technical style related to the urban dances.
The International Week of Dance is the only Italian event of the International Federation Ballet Competitions, the federation gathering the best world dance's contests.
