The Tower of the clock - Monteleone di Orvieto
At the end of 1800, the tower was built by the architect Monteleone Filidio Lemmi using bricks manufactured in local kilns, which give the building a warm and harmonious tone.
In the tower there is the face of the great clock whose needles were moved by an elaborate and monumental machine Pendulum.
The stone weights, walking down the tower, gave the movement mechanism. The facade is further enhanced by a brick bas-relief representing the coat of arms of Monteleone, carried out by Professor Michele Lemmi.
