From 18 to 21 September 2025, Deruta will host a new edition of the Palio della Brocca, the competition in which the city’s Rioni vie for victory in a series of tradition-inspired challenges. For four days, the renowned Umbrian town will offer a rich programme of historical re-enactments, competitions, and entertainment. The heart of the event will be Piazza dei Consoli, where activities will bring to life the atmospheres and customs of bygone eras. The protagonists will be the three city Rioni: Piazza, linked to Porta di Sant’Angelo; Valle, linked to Porta del Cerro; and Borgo, linked to Porta Romana. The competition will involve the entire historic centre, which for the occasion will become an open-air stage. Each evening, visitors can discover the flavours of traditional Umbrian cuisine in the taverns set up by the Rioni, enjoying an experience that combines history, tradition, and gastronomy.
