From 30th May to 30th June 2025, Isola San Lorenzo hosts at the Museo del Capitolo in Perugia the exhibition of the restored panel from San Lorenzo di Gaiche, recently recovered from the museum’s storage.

The initiative is part of a broader project of study, reorganisation and promotion of the artworks preserved in the museum’s storage, created during the Jubilee Year 2000 and now also used to house items from across the diocesan territory. In recent years, works from areas affected by the March 2023 earthquake have also been transferred here, awaiting restoration.

The panel, originally moved into storage in the early 2000s during work on the Church of San Lorenzo di Gaiche, has not yet been returned to its original location. The restoration, carried out by Giovanni Manuali, is part of a path of rediscovery and enhancement of lesser-known works in the collection, such as the 16th-century canvas from San Paterniano in Pierantonio, displayed in the 2023 Christmas exhibition Here is My Life.

The exhibition is open daily from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
