At Castello di Postignano (Sellano), from August 2 to November 3, 2025, the artist and photographer Alessandra Calò presents the exhibition Atlante Naturale curated by Arianna Catania, as part of the 13th edition of the cultural event “A Castle on the Horizon.” The exhibition is hosted in the Sabbioneta apartment and is open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM, with free admission.

Calò’s work originates from the observation of flowers, branches, and leaves destined to disperse — natural elements that the artist collects and preserves as fragments of memory. In them, she sees traces of solitary journeys, cycles of time, stories that speak of abandonment but also of rebirth. Nature, with its transformations, thus becomes a metaphor for the human journey, a diary in which the veins of a leaf resemble the nerves of a body, revealing deep connections between humans and the environment.

Through photographic language, Calò creates visual universes that combine abstraction and physicality, investigating personal and collective identity. Her research is based on the reappropriation of archival materials and the use of ancient off-camera printing techniques, opening a dialogue between past and present. With “Natural Atlas,” she continues an artistic path that connects memory, identity, and nature, inviting the visitor to a contemplative and intimate experience.
