Light in the Stone – Waiting for Lightquake

The project that will give new life to artworks damaged by the earthquake is "Lightquake", the initiative born with the aim of giving new light and creativity to a land rich with masterpieces, artistic and handicraft excellences, through two scheduled events devoted to the Light Art in the Spoleto Albornoz Fortress. 


The event will open on Saturday 17 December at the National Museum of the Duchy with "Light in the Stone", the lighting installation by Sebastiano Romano that will affect the external towers and walls of the Fortress.

This festival is aimed at spreading art, but it's also and foremost a tool to collecting funds in order to rebuild and renovate some artworks that have been damaged by the recent earthquakes in the Central Italy.

The installation will be visible until the 15 January 2017, and will be open every day from 5 to 8 pm and from the 24th of December to the 8th of January from 5 pm to 4 am.

In December 2017, instead, Nino Alfieri, Marco Brianza, Giulio De Mitri, Nicola Evangelisti, Federica Marangoni, Johannes Pfeiffer, Carlo Dell'Amico, Ugo Piccioni, Saverio Mercati, Lucia Rotundo and Maria Savino will give life to the first Light Art exhibition in Umbria with the light artists' association.
