Pensieri fuggitivi 2025
From June 28 to January 11, 2026, the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto hosts Pensieri fuggitivi, a solo exhibition by William Kentridge, curated by Saverio Verini.
The exhibition brings together more than fifty works by the South African artist, one of the most prominent voices in the international contemporary art scene. Spanning twenty-five years of artistic practice, the show offers a broad and multifaceted view of his work, featuring drawings, sculptures, videos, prints and notebooks, all testifying to a poetic and reflective visual language.
The title, Pensieri fuggitivi (“Fugitive Thoughts”), refers both to a video work (Fugitive Words) and to the artist’s conceptual approach: a thought process in constant motion, where nothing is definitive and everything can generate unexpected connections.
Kentridge’s presence in Spoleto extends beyond the exhibition. He is also the author of the official poster for Spoleto68and will take part in the Festival dei Due Mondi with the performance The Great Yes, the Great No, along with other related events in the city.
