Questa è acqua 2025

On 4 and 5 October 2025, the Teatro Pavone in Perugia will host the first edition of “Questa è acqua”, a festival created by Paolo Nori that stages an original encounter between literature, music, cinema and the performing arts. Over two days, Italian and international authors will narrate themselves through the books, films, music, artworks and cultural references that have shaped their personal and artistic journeys, composing a kind of autobiography “through titles”.

The format, inspired by David Foster Wallace’s famous 2005 commencement speech at Kenyon College, offers the audience a shared, dynamic experience where titles become stories and stories become opportunities for dialogue. From morning to evening, the festival presents a rich programme of meetings featuring prominent writers, musicians, actors and poets.

All events are free of charge, subject to availability. In the theatre foyer, a temporary bookshop will also be set up with works by the authors and festival selections.
