Quando l'arte va a tempo 2025

From 15 November to 13 December 2025, the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria in Perugia hosts a new edition of “Quando l’arte va a tempo”, a music series organised in collaboration with the “F. Morlacchi” Conservatory of Music. Four free concerts, all at 9 p.m. in the Sala Maggiore, will offer the audience a musical journey through different eras and styles, with programmes ranging from Bach to SchubertScarlatti to Sor.

The first concert, on Saturday 15 November, will be devoted to the virtuosity of the harpsichord with Il cembalo virtuoso, followed on 22 November by La chitarra nel primo ’800, exploring the Romantic repertoire of Sor, Paganini, Carulli, Giuliani, and Schubert. On 29 NovemberIl clavicembalo e la viola da gamba will bring together two ancient instruments through the works of Ortiz, Valente, Frescobaldi, Sainte Colombe, Händel, and Marais. The series will conclude on Saturday 13 December with Concerto de’ Voci et de’ Viole, featuring Renaissance music by De Monte, Praetorius, Arbeau, and Cabezon.

Before each concert, at 7:30 p.m., visitors can join a guided tour of the exhibition “Paladino. Antologica”, lasting about an hour and available by reservation through the Gallery’s website. Concerts are free with mandatory booking.
