Il Natale di Marmore 2025
In Marmore, in the municipality of Terni, from 3 December 2025 to 17 January 2026, Christmas in Marmore returns with a series of initiatives focused on community, tradition and support for the most vulnerable. The programme involves residents, associations and local organisations, creating opportunities to come together throughout the festive season. The streets will feature decorations made partly with recycled materials, while the wrought-iron nativity scene by Dino D’Ascenzo, on view from 8 December to 6 January, remains one of the most recognisable symbols of the event.
A special focus is dedicated to children through the “Every Child Has the Right to Dream” initiative, which invites them to post a Christmas letter and receive an immediate gift, with a public reading on Epiphany. The programme also includes cultural and social activities such as Christmas readings, musical events, convivial gatherings and initiatives aimed at older people and families. Highlights include the lunch for over-80s, the nursery school performance in Sala Montesi, the gift distribution for children and the Christmas lunch hosted at a local farm.
Long-standing traditions also return, including the tenth pampepato competition, the big bingo event on 5 January and the 17 January meeting dedicated to local dialects, an opportunity to explore the linguistic heritage of the area.
