Exhibition of The Great War and Umbria in Perugia

From 24 February to 2 June 2015 at Palazzo Baldeschi in Perugia, an exhibition for the Centennial of the Great War

One hundred years have passed since the First World War broke out. The Great War lasted from 1914 to 1918 and for 5 long years, it marked the fate of Italy in a traumatic and, at the same time, glorious way.
On display in the exhibition, are documents and events that left their mark on the territory and also, inevitably, on the population of Umbria during the Great War.

Here are also original photos of Umbria's soldiers killed during the Great War (war cemeteries, the Brigata Perugia, photos of the commemoration of the Unknown Soldier). Thanks to an exhibition system in line with the European project aimed at maximum digitalization of materials, it will be possible, for example, to consult a database and search for the fallen soldiers of your own territory, thanks to a large interactive map of the Umbrian territory. It will also be possible to consult the personal files of each soldier.
