"Tarsminas, the Etruscan lake”

"Tarsminas, the Etruscan lake. Daily life at the Trasimeno through the sacred images” is the title of the exhibition scheduled from 14th April to 15th July at the exhibition centre of the Magione’s Lambardi Tower.

The exhibition offers the visitor beyond 80 objects among cinerary urns, votive bronzes, coins, objects that belonged to the material culture’s domain and to the religion of ancient Etruscans.

It’s a highly evocative set-up with big photo formats, bilingual translation of contents, cartographic reconstructions and multimedia interactivity: all these features allow to create for the visitor an immersive journey in the Etruscan archaeology of the lake, by recovering the key elements associated with customs, material evidence and religions. This process has been carried out by returning temporarily significant findings to the territory that produced them. Most of them come from the warehouses of the Umbrian Museum complex and the Superintendence and have never been exhibited to the public until now.
