In Gubbio, on 11 April 2026, the Gubbio Trail Città di Pietra takes place, a trail running event that crosses the historic centre and the surrounding natural areas. The routes unfold along paths, dirt tracks and urban sections, offering an overview of the territory that brings together landscape and the historic fabric of the city.

The course leads participants through several representative locations of the city, including the ancient aqueduct, the Roman Theatre area and the streets of the historic centre. The event is designed for runners with different levels of preparation, thanks to the availability of multiple distances.

The 2026 edition introduces the Ultra Trail distance, alongside the established routes. The Ultra Trail covers 50 km with 2,500 metres of positive elevation gain. The 25 km Trail, with 1,500 metres of elevation gain, runs along the trails of the Tre Monti area and includes urban sections. The 10 km Trail, with 680 metres of elevation gain, offers a shorter route alternating between natural surroundings and the town centre.

A non-competitive walk is also planned, aimed at those who wish to take part in a more accessible way.
