“Wonder and Ecstasy”: is not just the title but also the effect created in the visitor by the exhibition devoted to the artworks of the contemporary Roman artist Luciano Ventrone, that will be held in Gualdo Tadino from 17^th April to 28^th October in the monumental Church of St. Francis.

It’s a real exhibition-event, organized by Vittorio Sgarbi, devoted to Luciano Ventrone: a choice anything but casual for the Umbrian town, homeland of that Matteo from Gualdo (about 1435 – 1507), among the forerunners of the genre of still life (with his famous painting representing the “Tree of Jesse”, of the late 15^th century), a pictorial genre of which Ventrone is one of the great innovators of today.

The exhibition itinerary leads the visitor into a world combining painting, light, shape, colour, scenography and illusion in order to create highly spectacular pictures. 

The exhibition will include some side events such as workshops, round tables and educational laboratories.
