The “Week of Planet Earth - Italy will discover Geosciences - A more informed society is more involved and engaged” is a scientific festival involving all Italy that, just in the past edition, saw the participation of about 80.000 people.

Throughout a whole week of October different locations across Italy will be animated by events aimed at spreading the scientific culture, the “Geo events”: excursions, walks in the urban and historical centres, open doors in the museums and in the research centres, guided visits, exhibitions, educational and experimental laboratories for kids and teenagers, musical and artistic activities, convivial tastings, conferences, workshops and round tables.

The events aims at engaging young people in the science, particularly in the geosciences, as well as conveying the enthusiasm for research and scientific discoveries: throughout a week, Italy will open its doors not only on its geological and natural heritage, but also on that complex territory where geologists work every day.

From Perugia to Spello, from San Venanzo to Spoleto, from Allerona to Gubbio: Umbria also joins the initiative with a series of appointments from the 15th to the 22nd October.
