On 15 February 2026, Terni will host a new edition of the Maratona di San Valentino, an event dedicated to running enthusiasts and lovers of outdoor sports.

The race will start in Terni and head towards the Basilica di San Valentino, before descending into the Valnerina and continuing towards the Cascata delle Marmore. The route then reaches Torre Orsina, the finish point of the 21 km race, while the full marathon continues on to Ferentillo, before returning to Terni.

Three routes are available: 42 km, 21 km and Dog & Family Run.
