In three days it will be possible to retrace the steps of Francis of Assisi who, in the winter between 1206 and 1207, stripped of his goods in front of his father Pietro di Bernardone for then setting out from the Seraphic City towards Gubbio: from the 1st to the 3rd September pilgrims from all over Italy are arriving in Assisi for the ninth edition of “The Francis Path”.

The approximately 50 kilometers to go are a unique occasion to know better oneself and, at the same time, be in contact with others to share a unique experience through the historical and natural beauties of Umbria. 

According to tradition, the event, which from year to year has been attended by more and more pilgrims, will take place according to a now well-established formula: on the first day, meeting in Assisi and departure for Valfabbrica; on the second day, departure from Valfabbrica and arrival at the Hermitage of San Pietro in Vigneto; on the third and last day, departure from San Pietro in Vigneto and arrival in Gubbio.
