National Horse Exhibition
The National Horse Exhibition has its roots in the Middle Ages and is one of the Italian most ancient fairs devoted to horses. It will take place in Città di Castello from the 8th to the 10th of September.
The event, born in 1032 in honour of St.
Florido, is into its 51st edition this year, and offers a programme rich with events and initiatives inspired by the horse tradition and the culture of the area: from the Italian championships of the morphology of the Italian saddle horses to the Arabic Pure Bred horse, races of attitude, the “Free Jumping contest”, the “Horse Baptism” (for kids), performances of “Classic Horse Breaking-in” and “Doma vaquero”.
Furthermore, the “Talent Show”, a series of high quality Equestrian Art performances, will be presented in collaboration with the Verona Horses Fair.
The event will also host the Exhibition of Equestrian Equipment, the Exhibition of the Historical Craftsmanship and of the excellent regional organic food products.
