Natale a Giano dell'Umbria 2025
The 2025–2026 festivities in Giano dell’Umbria and its surrounding hamlets take place from 4 December to 6 January with a programme involving Bastardo, Montecchio, Fabbri and Giano. The calendar includes celebrations, community lunches, convivial gatherings and visits to nativity scenes created by local associations. Activities unfold over several weeks, bringing residents and visitors together in the main spaces of the area.
Music plays a central role, with concerts by the wind bands of Montecchio and Giano hosted in churches and cultural venues. The Christmas markets along Via Roma enliven Giano Gualdo with folk songs, band performances and children’s activities, while the “Omnichristmasday” in the Urban Park of Bastardo offers a day of events for schools and families.
Local traditions are highlighted through handmade nativity scenes, the living nativity in Montecchio and activities for children, including Christmas Eve events and the arrival of the Befana on 6 January. The programme also features bingo evenings, tournaments and a cultural outing organised by the San Gaspare Social Centre. The end of the year is marked by two community dinners hosted in local association venues.
