Fortresses narrate
Ready to step back in time?
"Fortresses narrate" will return in Ferentillo from 17th to 26th August, with the 2018 edition celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary: a journey through the centuries that retraces the history of the village of Valnerina which, for the occasion, is going to present four new "Living Frames" and the recording of the narrating voice by Davide Capone, son of the great Claudio (the famous voice of Superquark), already voice of the “Fortresses narrate” from 1992 to today.
The fourteen "Living Pictures" will lead you to discover the past of the city: from the first inhabitants, the Naharki, to the Great War, passing through the Longobards, the Middle Ages, the Holy Inquisition, the Brigandage, the Risorgimento and the inauguration of the Terni-Ferentillo tramway.
This itinerary involves some of the most fascinating places in the area, such as the rock face famous for free climbing and the banks of the Nera or the medieval villages of Matterella and Precetto with their fortresses.
In addition to the "Living Pictures", the program also includes exhibitions, conferences, concerts and shows, while at the Taverna every evening you will be able to taste the typical dishes of Valnerina.
