Italian cinema - Dreams Makers

The link between sculpture and movies is the focus of the exhibition "Italian cinema - Dreams Makers", on schedule until the 12 February 2017 at the Civic-Diocesan Picture Gallery in Spello.

The protagonists of the exhibition are 27 statues by Ferdinando Lauretani (24 in Carrara's marble, 2 in earthenware, 1 in resin), medium-sized (60x50x40), each of whom dedicated to a director of the Italian cinema from the post-war period to the present: Fellini, Rossellini, De Sica, Antonioni together with other ones until the current ones, such as Benigni, Salvatores, Tornatore.

Framing the artworks of the Foligno artist there are three clips shown in loup: "Via Pasolini" - "Pasolini Road" (directed by Andrea Salerno), "Buon compleanno Monicelli" - "Happy birthday Monicelli" (directed by Daniela Piccioni) and "Moraldo va al Santuario" - "Moraldo goes to the sanctuary" - (a memory by Moraldo Rossi, Federico Fellini's assistant director, the movie "Cabiria's nights").
