Giallo Natale 2025

From 27 to 29 November 2025, the city of Gubbio hosts the third edition of Giallo Natale, the MiniFestival dedicated to crime, mystery and horror. For three days the historic centre becomes a meeting place for authors, journalists and enthusiasts, offering a programme that weaves together literature, investigation and imagination.

The festival opens on Thursday 27 November at the Biblioteca Sperelliana, where Alvaro Fiorucci and Roberto Taddeo will take the audience on a journey through the mysteries of the Monster of Florence, one of the most famous and debated cases in Italian crime history.

On Friday 28 NovemberValentina Magrin will offer a comparative analysis of the Garlasco and Perugia cases, exploring the role of the media and the way storytelling shapes public perception of crime.

The final day, Saturday 29 November, will highlight the meeting of generations and perspectives. In the afternoon, students from Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino will take part in the literary contest Profondo Giallo – Sfida all’ultimo Quizzote, while Salvatore Santangelo will present Yog-Sothothery, an exploration of H. P. Lovecraft’s dark imagination. In the evening, Stefano Nazzi will close the festival with a talk on investigations between America and Italy, held at the Centro Servizi Santo Spirito.
