In Assisi, on 8 and 9 October 2025, on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the Canticle of the Creatures, the Festival of the Creatures will be held: a space for debate to investigate, with a multidisciplinary and rigorous approach, the relationship between humanity and other animals.

Two days of meetings and multidisciplinary discussions will feature contributions from representatives of the scientific and institutional world, activism and philosophy, as well as religious, administrative, and cultural figures, in the city that embodies Franciscan values and harmony with Creation.

The event will host a wide and qualified panel of speakers who, in the setting of the Sala della Conciliazione in the Palazzo dei Priori in Assisi, will bring together diverse experiences and visions, animating a free and plural debate on topics such as ethics, biodiversity, law, public health, communication, food culture, activism, and sustainability.

The Festival will be enriched by a series of creative contributions: the artistic intervention of Francesca De Mai with the performance and exhibition AnimeLeAli; the exhibition of works by illustrator and graphic designer Alessio Alcini, who will also create live drawings during the event; sweets by Snug – The Comfort Café (Rome) and plant-based products curated by Ortoingiro (Valtopina), a local reality of sustainable agriculture; and finally, the sensorial show cooking by Romeow Cat Bistrot (Rome), scheduled for Wednesday 9 October, celebrating vegan aesthetics and culture.
