Orvieto will host the new edition of the Youth Dialogue Festival from May 5th to 9th, 2025, aiming to stimulate critical thinking and discussion among young people. The festival will open on Monday, May 5th (10:00 AM, Aula del Dialogo, Fondazione Centro Studi “Città di Orvieto”) with a lectio magistralis by Prof. Maria Giulia Bernardini on the theme “For a democracy of care: people with disabilities, rights and social inclusion”. From May 5th to 7th, the Experts' Marathon will be held online, featuring interventions by authoritative figures addressing crucial issues such as health, inequality, environment and migration. On Thursday, May 8th, at the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, “Ragazzi in Dialogo” (Youth in Dialogue) will take place, a day dedicated to the presentation of school projects, artistic performances, theatrical and musical interventions, with the participation of the magician Lapo. On Friday, May 9th, the AGORA and the Closing Ceremony will be held (Sala del Quattrocento), featuring a simulation of the European Parliament's General Assembly organized by the Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore Majorana-Maitani and the participation of MEP Camilla Laureti. In parallel, from May 8th to 9th, the Sala Expo will host the exhibition “Arte in Mostra” (Art on Display), curated by the Liceo Artistico “L.O. Valentini” in collaboration with the IIS Majorana-Maitani and the Stefania Conticchio Art School, with exhibitions of photographic works, graphic projects and performances by young artists.
