On Sunday, 9 November 2025, the village of Monterubiaglio will celebrate the 31st edition of the Festa del Bigonzone, an event that takes place in the town’s picturesque Piazza dello Statuto.

The day will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the traditional lunch featuring polenta and bujone, prepared according to the local recipes of the Orvieto area. The highlight of the afternoon will come at 4:00 p.m., when participants will “set the tap to the bigonzone,” a symbolic gesture recalling the ancient winemaking ritual that marks the end of the harvest season. The celebration will continue with folk music, convivial gatherings, and the tasting of delicious chestnuts, the unmistakable symbol of autumn.
