Enzo Rossi: from Neo-cubism to the Institute for Sacred Art
Perugia will pay tribute to Enzo Rossi, painter, sculptor, historian, art theorist, set designer, teacher and much more, with the exhibition "Enzo Rossi: from Neo-cubism to the Institute for sacred art", in Palazzo della Penna from October 14 to December 4.
The title draws inspiration from the exhibition organized in San Gemini hosting a collection of 33 artworks, such as paintings, drawings, ceramics and wall paintings, covering a time going from the artist's early works until the mid-1930s.
Nonetheless, Perugia's exhibition, beyond works made already available for San Gemini's appointment, will be enriched with two new sections: one devoted to Umbrian artists who worked together with Rossi in Villa Massimo (Rome), and a second one, instead focusing on works coming from laboratories of a Rome's art high school and from private collectors. Therefore the exhibition will also include artworks of Leoncillo, Romeo Mancini, Enzo Brunori, Vittoria Lippi and Ugo Rambaldi, showing Rome's climate after the First World War and particularly in Villa Massimo.
Opening times
October, from Tuesday to Sunday 10 am – 7 pm, closed on Monday
November, from Tuesday to Sunday 10 am – 6 pm, closed on Monday
