"Conflicts & Identità" art exhibition

From July 5 to 27, 2025, Montefalco will host the exhibition Conflicts & Identità in the spaces of the San Francesco Museum Complex. The exhibition presents works by four artists – Annie Hsiao-Ching Wang and Karen Hui-Yu Lo from Taiwan, and Italians Frank Dituri and Mauro Manetti – previously shown at the Zhongshan Hall Museum in Taipei, where they attracted significant interest.

The opening is scheduled for Saturday, July 5 at 6:00 PM.
The project brings together two distinct artistic approaches. On one side, the works of the two Taiwanese artists address themes of female identity and family conflict from a postmodern perspective, using photographic language that blends autobiographical elements with social awareness.
On the other, the works of the Italian artists move toward a transcendental dimension, avoiding the mundane and everyday, and directing their practice toward a poetic horizon.

The artistic direction is curated by Massimiliano Poggioni.
The exhibition catalogue includes a critical essay by David A. Lewis, Professor of Art History at Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.
