Burri - The permanent graphic artwork

Burri - The permanent graphic artwork

On the 12th March, on occasion of Alberto Burri's birth anniversary, the Burri Collection of Albizzini Palace's Foundation is going to launch the new museum section devoted to the artist, therefore bringing the "long" Centenary's year to conclusion.

The third museum, in the former tobacco dryers, occupies a space of over 4000 square meters, all obtained through a recent requalifying intervention of some underlying spaces that became large spaces hosting, according to the original setting prepared by the same Burri, his big artworks' cycles.

It's an exhibiting area reaching the 11.500 square meters that, with the three different collections, also including the open-air sculptures, make the "Burri pole" in Città di Castello the world largest artistic museum and one of the main European places of contemporary art.

The new section hosts the whole graphic and multiples repertoire of the Master, including beyond 200 artworks highlighting his extraordinary manual skills as well as his attitude to the constant experimentation.

A study day with the participation of field experts and important national and international printers is going to take place on the occasion of the Burri Collection's Graphic Section's opening.
