Bettona Crossing 2025

From September 26 to 28, 2025, Umbria Crossing will take place in Bettona, a weekend that combines outdoor sports, nature and culture. The event will open on Friday, September 26 with a special evening at the Cenacolo di San Crispolto with Gianni Poli, marathon legend and winner of the 1986 New York Marathon, who will share his experience and passion for running.
On Saturday, September 27, the focus will be on the Bettona Crossing, a trail running competition with three distances: the 50 km, valid for the GP IUTA, qualifying for the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc and awarding ITRA points; the Short Trail degli Ulivi of 20 km; and the Sprint of 10 km, starting from the “Madonnina dei cacciatori” and finishing in the main square. The routes cross landscapes linked to the Franciscan tradition and offer an experience that goes beyond the competitive dimension. The day will also feature initiatives such as the Crossing Girls project, a mini trail camp for children, and the Etruscan Trekking, a walk open to all in the historic center.
Sunday, September 28, will be dedicated to cycling with the ninth edition of the Bettona Etruscan MTB, now a classic of the off-road calendar. Three routes are planned: the Extreme of 63 km, the Hard of 45 km and the Soft of 25 km, the latter also available in a non-competitive format. There will also be a 10 km youth race for Beginners and Juniors, and the combined Bettona Duathlon Off Road 2 Days, reserved for those taking part in both the run and the MTB race.
Umbria Crossing is an opportunity to experience two intense days of trail running and mountain biking, enriched by cultural moments and opportunities for sharing, in a village that welcomes athletes, families and enthusiasts, offering an experience immersed in the Umbrian landscape.
