Bernini and Velazquez: Self-portraits exhibited at the Noble Collegio del Cambio

An highly selected number of masterpieces (ten totally, coming from big museums such as Uffizi and Prado as well as from private collections) will be protagonist of the exhibition “Bernini and Velazquez: self-portraits exhibited at the Noble Collegio del Cambio”, on schedule from the 22nd June to the 22nd October 2017.

The exhibition investigates the mutual influence, in the field of the self-portrait, between Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the artist famous for having redesigned Rome during the Baroque period, who is proposed in this exhibition as painter, and the Spanish Diego Velázquez, official painter of the Spanish King.
Bernini and Velázquez will be therefore guests in the inspiring setting provided by the Noble Collegio del Cambio in Perugia: two of the biggest artists of the European Seventeenth century will be juxtaposed under the careful eyes of another famous self-portrait, the one of Perugino standing in the Collegio’s halls.

Times: 10 am - 7 pm all the days - Ticket price: € 4,50.
