Nativity scene under the stars at the Porziuncola
In Santa Maria degli Angeli, a life-size folk nativity scene has been installed in the churchyard of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli since 3 December.
A popular-style installation of about 200 square metres of great impact that will remain in the square until 7 January 2024.
The crib is linked to the fundraising campaign: "Hope beyond war: rebuild with us the future in the Holy Land", which the Seraphic Province of St. Francis chose to set up to support the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and with it the more than 3000 Palestinian Christians who have lost their jobs in Cisgiordania.
