Food from the world

Specialties from each part of the planet to discover the history and culture of other populations, narrated through their flavours, their cuisine and perfumes: it will be possible from 3rd to 6th May in Foligno with “Food from the world”.


From the spices brought by Marco Polo to the Cantonese cuisine in the European capitals, through the international street food coming from Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Austria, United States, Spain, Morocco and South Korea, beyond the Italian regions that are the most representative ones of the national cuisine, with more than 20 typical dishes through street-food activities in the squares.

The event, wishing to go beyond tastings, will be accompanied by a series of meetings and cooking shows that will narrate the cooking history of countries participating in the event through the traditions and resources of the populations and lands: it will tell tourists about the quality of our food and the culture of the Umbrian cuisine.

This year’s innovations are the Hall of Excellencies in the cloister of the City Hall and “Wines from the World”, a hall devoted to wines with the world main labels (more than 100) and the Italian Wine Cellar Berlucchi as guest of honour. 

Four days of tastings and history classes, accompanied by music, shows, entertainment and a series of side initiatives: ready for a world tour?
