Alviano, from 6 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, presents a calendar of events dedicated to the Christmas season, involving the village, its squares and key gathering places. The programme accompanies the festive period with initiatives designed for different audiences, alternating traditional moments with family-oriented activities and cultural events.

The celebrations begin in early December with the Father Christmas Village hosted at the Castle of Alviano, alongside convivial gatherings and workshops for children. One of the central moments of the programme takes place on 8 December with the inauguration of the artistic Nativity scene and the lighting of the Christmas decorations and tree, accompanied by music and opportunities to come together in the town squares.

The programme continues with the lighting of the Star in Alviano Scalo, a themed pre-Christmas trip and a series of events animating the following weeks, including a bingo evening, a theatre performance for children and initiatives hosted in the historic spaces of the village. The festive season also includes the New Year’s Eve dinner, marking the transition into the new year.

In January, the calendar carries on with sporting events, popular traditions and symbolic moments such as the arrival of the Befana and the presentation of the “Citizen of the Year” award, which brings the festive period to a close.
