The Palio delle Botti or Palio di San Giovanni will be held in Marsciano from June 15 to 22. The event includes a barrel pushing race between the eight districts of Ammeto, Centro, Cerro, Ponte, San Francesco, Schiavo, Tripoli, and Via Larga. The competition will culminate in the final that will determine the winner of the Palio di San Giovanni. Races are planned for the Children, Men, and Women categories, with the awarding of a Palio for each. During the Palio week, several medieval-themed events will take place, including the Medieval Dinner, the Medieval Markets, and the Historical Parade. Various events involving the districts and musical events will also be organized.
