In the green Umbrian countryside, in Magione, in the province of Perugia, stands the Mulino delle Canutole holiday farm. This ancient location, derived from an old oil mill that was part of an agricultural holding dating back to the 1800s, completely renovated in stone using only reclaimed material, is located in the centre of a hill of centuries-old olive trees on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, a stone's throw from Lake Trasimeno and its natural park.

The name derives from the fragrant "santolina selvatica" herb that grows abundantly around the hill itself and is called, in the local dialect term, "canutola", whose yellow flowers with their intense perfume were once dried in the sun, closed in bags and used to perfume bed linen.
