Once upon a time there was a castle

It was 1979, our father Ivo, owner of a small village trattoria, used to walk along the hill where Catignano castle once stood. That place of absolute tranquillity soon became the setting for his future plans. So in 1985, thanks to the intuition of Ivo and his right-hand man, our mother Gabriella, Catignano Hotel was born. A stone's throw from the historic city, but immersed in the green Umbrian hills. A perfect combination of comfort and relaxation.

Today it is we, the children, who carry on the family business, always under the guidance of our passionate parents. Together with them, a large family of men and women who make work a great passion.

We have many passions, but the greatest one is to share what we love with our guests: whether it is a newly experimented recipe or a new path through the mountains to take on a bike, our mission is to share it with you! We love talking to our guests, getting to know them and making them part of our big family!
