Way of Grief
The Diocesan Civic Museum of St. Mary of Slaves in Città della Pieve will host, from the 8th April to the 1st May, the "Way of Grief", the exhibition seeing as its protagonists the 14 stations painted by David Petri.
It's a journey among spirituality and art covering the highlights of Christ's Passion, through the artworks of a painter with a great sensibility, refinement and culture.
David Petri
David Petri was born in Rome on the 2nd September 1967.
Since its childhood, he showed a strong inclination towards the pictorial art, so much to paint his first painting at only five years of age.
In 1986 he got his diploma with success at the Art Institute in Orvieto.
During the last two years of the high-school, he held the chair of Art History collaborating with the professor Ernesto Pio Frisoli.
He owed his basic training to the master Walter di Bartolo, pupil himself of important artists such as Guttuso and Maccari.
In 1986 he carried out his first solo performance in Città della Pieve, his adopted homeland, obtaining excellent critical consents.
In the two following years he participated to several exhibitions in different Umbrian towns.
