Umbria Jazz Weekend 2024
Umbria Jazz Weekend is back, from 12th to 15th September 2024, in the historic centre of Terni to experience the energy of a festival in the name of great music. From the clubs to the streets of the historic centre to the Marmore Falls, it will be a four-day event full of unmissable events.
The event formula will be similar to last year's, and will feature a pluralism of musical genres to suit different tastes. UJ4KIDS, the space reserved for children and young people, has also been confirmed.
Two proposals come from Africa: the ‘desert rock’ of Bombino, who combines his love for the electric guitar with the musical traditions of his people, and Les Amazones d'Afrique, an all-female group founded in Mali and active since 2015.
Black Music, on the other hand, will be interpreted by bluesman Alabama Mike, one of the most famous on the West Coast blues scene, and the soul voice of Michelle David & The True Tones, an Italian exclusive.
Moving on to Jazz for amateurs, the Peter Bernstein Trio with special guest Piero Odorici, Danilo Rea, and the swing band of clarinet virtuoso Nico Gori will perform.
And again, Sam Paglia, with his Hammond organ, Lovesick, a trio from Bologna whose influences are deeply rooted in country, rock'n'roll and Swing from the 40s and 50s, as well as Lorenzo Hengeller, the Funk Off, Gianluca Perella, soul singer Nadyne Rush and the Scannapieco-Geremia quintet, winners of the last Conad Jazz Contest.
