The Subasio Crossing will be held in Collepino di Spello (PG) on Sunday 18 May: a circuit trail race that runs along the paths of San Francesco, in the heart of Mount Subasio through woods, clearings and olive groves.

A 12 km loop, to be repeated several times, to celebrate, by running, spring in one of the most evocative sceneries in the world.

It starts and finishes in Collepino, a small mountain castle dating back to the early Middle Ages, a stone's throw from Spello. Along the way you pass the Hermitage of San Silvestro, an ancient abbey founded by Saint Romuald in 1025.

Two distances are planned:

• 30K (1440 D+) - Competitive race
• 12K (550 D+) - Competitive and non-competitive race
