Poster of Spazi umbri in Trevi

Spazi umbri. Paesaggi, vedute, interni 2025

From 31st May to 27th July 2025, the San Francesco Museum Complex in Trevi will host the exhibition Spazi umbri. Paesaggi, vedute, interni.

This event features a selection of around thirty paintings from the Marignoli Collection of Montecorona, many of them previously unseen, offering an exploration of landscape painting from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. Works by artists from diverse backgrounds present multiple perspectives on the Umbrian territory: from iconic sites such as the Marmore Waterfall, the Temple of Clitunno and the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi to lesser-known and sometimes vanished views, capturing urban scenes and evocative interiors.

The exhibition invites reflection on the Umbrian landscape as a layered reality, where environment, memory and identity intertwine. Seen as a cultural construct, the landscape changes according to the viewer’s gaze: Spazi umbri encourages a critical reading of its meaning and evolution.

The exhibition route goes beyond documentation, offering new interpretations of a region where the present is deeply shaped by the memory of the past. Featured artists include Wilson, Châtelet, Chauvin, Bellermann, Poveda, Lucien Simon, Croatto, Prencipe and Parisani.
