Notti d'autore 2024 playbill

Notti d'autore

The new edition of the Notti d'Autore Festival will be held in Costacciaro on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August.
This year the event celebrates the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death, dedicating itself to the theme of travelling through the stages of the famous explorer. The events and appointments will tell not only a geographical route, but will invite each participant to live a personal and collective experience of discovery and knowledge through the traditions and cultures of distant peoples.
With the support of experts and artists, a rich programme has been created for the whole family: from animated readings for children from 0 to 6 years old, to origami and music workshops for children, to martial arts and a colourful Bollywood dance workshop.
The days will begin with a yoga awakening in contact with nature and animated readings for children and parents. This will be followed by a music workshop for adults and children to learn about the instruments of the Silk Road and one to discover origami and the art of paper folding. In the afternoon, two free workshops: one dedicated to kung fu (Saturday) and one to Bollywood dance (Sunday).
The festival will also include tasting moments with two thematic aperitifs based on tea and infusions on Saturday and with oriental spices on Sunday.
The evening will offer two not-to-be-missed appointments: on Saturday 3 August, at 10 p.m., Giobbe Covatta will stage his show ‘6°’ (six degrees), tackling the theme of the Earth's rising temperature. Covatta imagines futures in which the temperature has risen by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 degrees, proposing extravagant solutions to deal with the environmental and social emergency.
Sunday 4 August will be the turn of Syusy Blady, journalist, actress and TV presenter, who will present the show ‘Il mio milione. Syusy Blady as Marco Polo’. Blady will guide the audience through her travels, retracing some of Marco Polo's countless stages to China, offering an unmissable opportunity to immerse oneself in his fascinating travel stories.
Also returning will be the space dedicated to young artists who will create works of art and live performances in the streets of the centre during the Festival. The artists selected for the ‘borgo d*arte’ contest are: Francesco Avvisati (painting), Letizia Lupini (painting), Benedetta San Rocco (photography), Michele Baccarini (sculpture), Andrea Raschi (painting), Romina Di Forti (painting), Cristina Italiani (music), and Erika Comodi (painting).
There will be two temporary exhibitions: one with the projection of digital works created by the Proloco Young using artificial intelligence, and one curated by the Gaita ‘il setificio’ of Bevagna, which will show the life of the silkworm and its processing.
