From 19 to 22 December, Piazza del Melo will be transformed into the heart of Christmas in Perugia with Natale sul Melo, an initiative celebrating the completion of an urban and cultural regeneration project launched in 2022 thanks to the S.W.I.T.C.H. O.N programme, which has given new life to historic spaces in the centre of Perugia, transforming them into a multifunctional hub for culture, sociality and innovation.
During the four days of the festivities, Piazza del Melo will offer a rich programme of activities for all ages: Live concerts, with local and national artists; Christmas street food, mulled wine and hot drinks, to immerse oneself in the festive atmosphere; Vintage corner, to discover objects with retro charm; Workshops for children, organised in collaboration with POST.
The Natale sul Melo (Christmas on the Apple Tree) event represents the perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation, combining the atmosphere of the festivities with the story of a regeneration process that aims to bring Piazza del Melo back to the centre of city life.
It will start every day at 5pm with Food&Drink and DJ sets, while at 7pm the live concerts will begin, each evening with different artists and proposals, until 11pm.
