In Amelia, on the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Fausto Pirandello (1899–1975), the Municipality is promoting the exhibition of Le lavandaie, part of the Conti Paladini collection and preserved at the Archaeological Museum and Pinacoteca of Amelia. The initiative is curated by the Cooperativa L’Orologio, manager of the city’s Museum Circuit, and aims to highlight a group of works of great importance for the city. The exhibited work comes from a donation that, in 1987, Luciana Conti, widow of Paladini, left to the Municipality of Amelia, enriching the collection with paintings, prints, and drawings by numerous Italian artists of the twentieth century. Among the authors represented in the collection, also mentioned in the donor’s testament, are Carlo Levi, Cagli, Campigli, De Pisis, Maccari, Vespignani, Manzù, Bartolini, Ciarrocchi, Omiccioli, Greco, Corpora, and Capogrossi.
