Market exhibition of the black celery in Trevi and Festival of the Sausage
Trevi's black celery, produced in the area since the 17th century, is one of the six Slow Food Presidia in Umbria.
It's a product with peculiar features that needs a long and difficult cultivation that, however, makes it unique in its kind: the Market Exhibition of the Black Celery takes place every year in Trevi, on the third Sunday of October, in order to protect this product.
The town's main square will be crowded with wood boxes and "Sedanari" waiting for the competition: each of them will display their best specimen to gain the first prize.
Therefore, on the 15th and 16th October, the black celery will be the protagonist of a series of initiatives and appointments included in the already full calendar of October in Trevi. It's a two-day festival in which the prestigious vegetable will meet other products of the area, also thanks to the Sausage Festival that will accompany again the market exhibition in 2016.
