An exhibition which narrates the first world war as seen from Perugia and Umbria: this is the aim of the exhibition "La Grande Guerra. Un viaggio attraverso la memoria e le immagini da Perugia alle altre città dell'Umbria" ("The Great War. A journey through memories and images from Perugia and other Umbrian towns") , which can be visited from the 16th April to the 26th June at the Museo civico di Palazzo della Penna.

There are many eye-witness accounts collected from soldiers and leading figures from Umbria's political and cultural life, as well as ordinary citizens, who through letters, diaries and images have narrated their personal stories which form part of the wider stage of a war which decimated Europe.

The iconographic and bibliographic material and relics on display describe the changes that the conflict brought about in Perugia and in the rest of the Region, also re-evoking emotions, feelings, and humanity.
