The World's Biggest Christmas Tree - gubbio

The World's Biggest Christmas Tree 2025

In Gubbio, from 7 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, the World’s Largest Christmas Tree will once again shine on the slopes of Mount Ingino, one of Umbria’s most iconic symbols of Christmas. First created in 1981 and listed in the Guinness World Records in 1991, the Tree is made up of more than 300 coloured light sources connected by around 8,500 metres of electric cables, creating a spectacular chromatic effect visible from afar.

The immense installation stretches across the mountainside overlooking the town, offering a truly unique and recognisable sight. The official lighting ceremony will take place on 7 December at 6 p.m., an eagerly awaited moment filled with light, music and community spirit.
The Tree will be illuminated every evening from 5 p.m. until late night throughout the Christmas season, up to the Sunday following Epiphany.

Those who wish to contribute can take part in the “Adopt a Light” initiative, dedicating one of the Tree’s lights to a loved one – a symbolic act of solidarity and participation. Further information about the project and the activities of the Alberaioli Association is available on the official website.

During the festive period, visitors can also collect the Tree Calendar at the IAT Office in Via della Repubblica 15, leaving, if they wish, a small donation to support the association’s work.
